Kids bed sizes
Most of our kids beds are available in standard single and king single bed frame sizes and some in double size. Just check the bed size option on the product page. If you would like more information on standard mattress sizes see our mattress size blog page here:
Should I get a King single kids bed or Standard single kids bed?
It depends on how much space you want to give you child and the size of the bedroom. While king single loft beds are more spacious for your child, it's important to note that king single loft bed size are both wider and longer than standard single, so they are bulkier than standard single loft or bunk single bed.
Age groups suitable for kids beds
Usually around the age of 3 years a child will outgrow their baby cot bed. A toddler bed is sometimes a used as a transition bed from a cot to a full size, but most often parents opt for a full-size bed for their child moving out of the cot, so that their new bed will be big enough as they grow into their teenage years. For those young children, a great option is to choose a low line bunk or low height loft bed as they are safe for younger children. A bunk bed is a smart choice if you have an older and younger child as the younger child can use the lower bed initially.
Materials and colours used in kids beds
Materials that kids beds makers use can vary, but we are proud to use Victorian made MDF board in our standard kid beds. Our kids beds are available in three colour schemes, so we have the usual white loft beds and white bunk beds as well as our new white with light wood and white with chocolate woods colour schemes where we use white for most of the bed frame and use the wood colour for some parts for contrast effect.
Can you use other custom colours and materials for your kids beds?
By special request we also have the option to use plywood for a more natural wood look and feel. In addition, we can use other colours and wood patterns, please reach out to us for a quote on your specific requirements.
